Client Journey

Organiser

  1. Brief arrives. The Ministry of Science & Education co-organised a drone-racing and robotics festival inside the international military-tech forum "Армия-2021" at Patriot Congress Centre, Kubinka. The event needed a public-facing site up weeks before opening day.
  2. Requirements scoped. The client needed a site they could update entirely in-house — add news, edit schedules, upload photos — without involving a developer for every change. Brand identity had to feel authoritative: state-level event, Ministry backing, 60+ participating universities.
  3. Stack chosen. WordPress + Elementor (visual builder) was the right fit: the client's team had zero coding background, the timeline was tight, and the content volume was high. A custom block theme was built on top to enforce the brand guidelines.
  4. Brand system delivered. Colour palette, typography, logo placement, and section templates were locked into the theme so that any page the team built in Elementor automatically matched the visual identity.
  5. SEO groundwork laid. Meta structure, Open Graph tags, sitemap, clean URL slugs, and image alt-text conventions were set up at build time — not bolted on after launch. The site landed in search results for key event queries within days.
  6. Team onboarded. Two screen-recorded walkthroughs were produced: one for general site administration, one specifically for managing articles. The client managed the site independently throughout the event week.

Visitor (festival attendee)

  1. Discovers the event. Search or press link lands the visitor on the homepage — full-screen hero with festival branding, dates, and location. The visual hierarchy answers "what / when / where" in under three seconds.
  2. Explores the programme. Schedule, participant list (60+ universities, labs, and companies), drone-racing track details, master-class signup — all accessible from the main menu, updated in real time by the organiser team.
  3. Follows news. The blog/news section was updated daily during the festival week; visitors returned for coverage, videos, and competition results.
  4. Shares the event. Open Graph metadata meant every social share rendered a proper preview image and title — organic reach required no extra effort from the team.
